Plan on roughly 4 to 5 hours from Phoenix. Friday afternoons, Saturdays, and holiday weekends can add border wait time at Lukeville/Sonoyta.
Rocky Point does not currently have a major international airport for typical guest travel. The easiest option is usually flying into Phoenix and driving down.
Mexican vehicle insurance is required. US policies generally do not cover accidents in Mexico. You can buy daily coverage online or near the border before crossing.
